Andy Warhol time

Darío parents's (5 years C) prepared a great afternoon at school focused on Andy Warhol and the Pop Art style.

For the first game, we have all to sit down in a circle and cover our legs and arms with a huge blanket. The purpose of the activity is to figure out which Andy Warhol related- object was hidden under the blaket.

For the second game, Eva and Marcos give each group a handout of Andy Warhol masterpieces and the rest of the groups have to guess which picture it was.

The third activity was based on making a pencil can holder with our own pic.

And finally, we have the opportunity to feel ourselves the pop art style dressing up like the real Andy Warhol.

Andy Warhol. American Culture

Andy Warhol was the main author of the Pop Art culture. This artistic movement was created in North America. We learn some typical American features.


Today we have learnt some cultural aspects about the American culture. We already know Andy Warhol was born in North America. We can distinguish between the Statute of Liberty and the sculture of the Bean in Chicago. We know that North America people don't use euros, but dollars instead and that the first American settlers were the Indian American.

Pop Art in Zaragoza

Yesterday, teacher visited the Pop Art exhibition in Zaragoza. It was a great opportunity to discover more pop art artist than Andy Warhol. 

The exhibition is suitable for kids. If you decide to visit it, don't hesitate to send me your pics ;)

This year, we celebrate 

CARNIVAL AT THE MUSEUM.

Children and teacher should get dressed as artist with a hat, a paintor palette, wearing a funny moustache and dirty-coloured as artist they are.
