Today, Ixeia's mother (5 years C) visits us to explain her job. Beatriz works in the assistance service.
When an elderly people at home falls down or need some help, he or she presses a button. That button is connected with a lady on the phone who asks him/her what the problem is. Then, depending on the situation, Beatriz takes his first aid kit and look after the old person.
Some other services they do include:
- remind elderly people when to take their pills
- remind elderly people to attend to the doctor
- just talking with them to be sure they are ok
We agree Beatriz job is essential in our city.
